WXXI NEWS LOOKS AT MAYOR ROBERT DUFFY’S FIRST 100 DAYS IN OFFICE AND COVERS HIS FIRST STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS

Rochester, New York (April 4, 2006) – As Mayor Robert Duffy enters his 100th day in office, Need to Know invites Duffy and some of the panelists who participated in the Voice of the Voter Mayoral Forums last fall to another discussion. Need to Know: The First 100 Days airs Friday, April 7 at 9 p.m. and again on Sunday, April 9 at 12:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV 21 (cable 11). During the Voice of the Voter Mayor Forum in 2005 panelists questioned the candidates about City issues – specifically about Rochester’s education system, quality of life, public safety and crime. On Friday Duffy will talk about what he and his new administration have done so far in response to these issues and what his future plans are for the City.

On Monday, April 10 at 1pm on AM 1370 Charles Zettek, Director of Government Management Services for the Center for Governmental Research (CGR), will join Bob Smith for 1370 Connection. Zettek will offer his analysis on the Mayor’s first 100 days in office.

WXXI News will have live coverage of Mayor Duffy’s first State of the City Address at the University of Rochester’s Strong Auditorium on Monday, April 10 beginning at 7 p.m. on AM 1370. WXXI’s Bob Smith will host the coverage. He will be joined by former Rochester School Board member Jim Bowers and CGR’s Charles Zettek.
