| For Immediate Release WXXI REPORTER BUD LOWELL RECEIVES BEST ENTERPRIZE REPORTING AWARD FROM THE ASSOCIATED PRESS Rochester, New York (July 11, 2008) – The New York State Associated Press Broadcasters Association (NYSAPBA) named WXXI reporter Bud Lowell's "Wind Power Dispute" story as first place winner in the Best Enterprise Reporting category during the Associated Press' annual news awards competition. The judges noted that Lowell "made a complicated story easy to understand" and that he "looked for more than two sides." Special Mention in the same category also went to Lowell’s piece entitled "Emergency Department Overcrowding." And finally, Lowell received a Citation "in appreciation for outstanding service supplied to fellow Associated Press members during 2007." ### |
