(Rochester, New York) April 28, 2008 – Eight Homework Hotline fans from across New York State will be guest hosts on the live statewide homework help show Monday, April 28, 2008 through Thursday May 8, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV 21 (cable 11). The eight students earned host slots on the program after calling in the most correct calls to Homework Hotline's Math Mazes, Creature Teasers, Brainteasers or Science Challenges throughout the season.

The winning Homework Hotline hosts, and their debut dates are:
• Ayinde Muhammad, 4th grader, home schooled, Rochester, New York on April 28
• Louis Wood, 4th grader at Schribner Road School, Penfield, NY on April 29
• Jordan Beauchemin, 10th grader at Midlakes High School, Phelps, NY on April 30
• Johnathon Vanname, 8th grader, home schooled, Dalton, NY on May 1
• Justin Kowal, 5th grader at Golding Elementary, Cobleskill, NY on May 5
• Chris Stearns, 8th grader at Byron-Bergen, Stafford, NY on May 6
• Cody Ingraham, 6th grader at Farnsworth Middle School, Guilderland, NY on May 7
• Adrian Kowal, 2nd grader at Rider Elementary, Cobleskill, NY on May 8

Geared to children in grades four through 12, Homework Hotline provides the tools students need to succeed with homework, and supports academic achievement across a variety of New York State Learning Standards. WXXI Public Broadcasting produces the program in partnership with Rochester Dial-A-Teacher and New York City Dial-A-Teacher, which staff phone banks with teachers to help kids with their homework.
An award-winning production, Homework Hotline has garnered seven New York State Broadcasters Association awards for best program or series designed for children, plus a Silver Telly, Bronze Telly and an Aurora award. The program is funded by New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) and Daisy Marquis Jones Foundation.
