1,110 ROCHESTER AREA WOMEN TO ATTEND WXXI’S SPEAKING OF WOMEN’S HEALTH CONFERENCE TOMORROW Rochester, New York (September 16, 2009) – WXXI’s sold-out Speaking of Women’s Health event will host 1,100 women in a one-day health conference on Thursday, September 17 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. Guests will attend selected breakout sessions on a variety of topics presented by physicians and experts from the University of Rochester Medical Center. Topics include heart health, sleep, stress management, nutrition, osteoarthritis, skin care, exercise, and many more. The morning keynote speaker is Lisa Sanders, MD, who is the medical advisor for the hit FOX-TV series House, and writes a monthly column for the New York Times called Diagnosis. During the lunch program, which begins at 11:30 a.m., WXXI will present the Pinny Cooke Community Service Award and the Pat Andrus Community Investment. The afternoon keynote speaker is Louisa Ong-Lee, an expert on Feng Shui, who trained for many years under Singapore’s Master Chong Swan Lek. Fast Facts When: Thursday, September 17, 2009.
