WXXI NAMES HÉLÈNE BIANDUDI LOCAL HOST OF NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO’S ALL THINGS CONSIDERED
(Rochester, New York) October 28, 2010 – WXXI has hired Hélène Biandudi as local host of NPR’s All Things Considered, where she can be heard weekdays from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. All Things Considered airs on AM 1370, WRUR-FM 88.5, FM-HD 91.5-2., WXXY-FM 90.1 (Houghton), and WXXI.org. In addition to delivering the latest news on air, Biandudi will file news stories for WXXI’s Center for Public Affairs, as well as produce special segments for WXXI-TV’s Need to Know Rochester.
Prior to joining WXXI, Biandudi worked for 48 Hours at CBS as the executive and editorial assistant to the show’s executive producer, Susan Zirinsky. During her three and a half years at CBS, Biandudi co-launched imprint-tv.com, a web site that features motivating and inspirational news stories. Before joining CBS, she worked as an associate producer at WBNS-10TV, a CBS-affiliate news station in Columbus, Ohio, and as a speaker for Monster’s Making It Count program, where she delivered presentations to high school students encouraging them to pursue higher education.
Biandudi has a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism from New York University, and is a member of the Rochester Association of Black Journalists. She currently resides in Rochester.
