WXXI-TV HELPS STUDENTS PREPARE FOR THE 2010 REGENTS EXAMS WITH REGENTS REVIEW 2.0
Rochester, New York (April 27, 2010) – WXXI will broadcast Regents Review 2.0, a series of test-prep programs for high school students who plan to take the New York State Regents exams. The series will air weekdays from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV (DT21.1/cable 1011 and 11) from May 3rd to May 20th. It will also air on City 12 (cable 12) weekdays from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. from May 10th to June 21st.
This widespread television and web-based series features one-hour, in-depth review programs on fourteen different subjects – one program for each of the specific New York State curriculum areas tested annually through Regents exams. Hosted by master teachers, the shows are presented in a lively, interactive television format. The series is targeted primarily to high school students in grades 9 - 12 (ages 13 - 17), and their parents. A large, secondary audience of teachers and BOCES students is also reached through repeat TV show airings, classroom tape playback of programs, and through programs downloaded via the Regents Review web site.
