WXXI PROVIDES LIVE COVERAGE OF NEW YORK STATE GOVERNOR ANDREW CUOMO’S FIRST STATE OF THE STATE ADDRESS

Rochester, New York (December 31, 2010) – Just five days after being sworn into office New York State’s 56th Governor Andrew Cuomo will give his first State of the State Address on January 5, 2011. The address will offer more insight into how Cuomo intends to tackle the State's fiscal crisis and implement ethics reform measures in Albany. WXXI will provide live, special coverage of the Governor’s speech Wednesday, January 5 at 1:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV/HD (DT21.1/cable 1011 and 11), AM 1370/HD-FM 91.5-2, and at WXXI.org.

Following the State of the State Address, WXXI Capitol Bureau Correspondent Karen DeWitt and the WXXI News Team will provide complete coverage of the speech during All Things Considered that evening (between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.), and Morning Edition the following morning (between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m.).
