THE 26TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT CANDIDATES PARTICIPATE IN A
VOICE OF THE VOTER
DEBATE AT WXXI

(Rochester, New York) May 12, 2011 –  Republican Jane Corwin and Democrat Kathleen Hochul, candidates for the 26th Congressional District seat, will participate in an hour-long Voice of the Voter debate that will air Thursday, May 19 at 8 p.m. on WXXI-TV/HD (DT21.1/cable 1011 and 11).  It will also simulcast on AM 1370/FM-HD 91.5-2. Candidate Jack Davis, running on the Tea Party line, has not yet responded as to whether he will take part in the debate. The candidates will share their platforms and answer questions from panelists: Carlet Cleare of WXXI; Jim Ranney of WNED (Buffalo); Jill Terreri of the Democrat & Chronicle; and Sean Carroll of 13 WHAM-TV. WXXI News Director Julie Philipp will moderate.

The 2011 special election in New York’s 26th congressional district will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011.
