WXXI’S INNOVATION TRAIL ASKS “WHAT DO YOU MAKE” AT TEDxROCHESTER

Rochester, New York (November 3, 2011) – WXXI’s Innovation Trail, a news team dedicated to reporting on the innovation economy across upstate New York, will be recording stories from participants at TEDxRochester on Monday, November 7 at the Geva Theatre Center. TED, which stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, is an annual event where some of the world’s leading thinkers and doers are invited to share what they are most passionate about. The Innovation Trail will bring its new “listening booth” to the event, where editor Rachel Ward and reporter Zack Seward will invite attendees to share stories about their innovative work and what they make.

Innovation Trail will randomly select individuals to record their stories at the listening booth. Clips from selected stories will be posted at InnovationTrail.org, and will be shared in an upcoming radio series to air on WXXI-AM 1370. Stories collected in the listening booth at BarCamp Rochester on October 29 are currently playing at InnovationTrail.org.

TEDxRochester, held at Geva Theatre Center, runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, November 7. Registration is closed, but there is a wait list. To learn more about TEDxRochester, visit: http://www.tedxrochester.org/.
