Lou Gramm is an American rock vocalist and songwriter who was born and raised in Rochester. For more than 25 years, he was the lead vocalist for the rock band Foreigner. He has also enjoyed a successful solo career. Gramm’s musical career began in his mid-teens, playing in local Rochester bands, including St. James Infirmary (later The Infirmary), PHFFT, Poor Heart, and the Black Sheep.
