SECOND OPINION, WXXI’S NATIONAL HEALTH CARE SERIES, HOSTS LIVE TWITTER EVENTS MAY 17-19 DURING THE TAPING OF SEASON 9
Rochester, NY (May 16, 2012) – WXXI will host live Twitter events on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 17, 18 and 19 during the taping of its national public television health series Second Opinion. Using @SecondOpinionTV with hashtag #AskTVDr, twitter followers can watch the taping live, send in questions to the panelists on the show and interact with medical advisors who are watching the taping. The Twitter events feature three important and newsworthy health topics. Second Opinion is co-produced by the University of Rochester Medical Center and West 175. Major funding is provided by the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.

- Thursday, May 17 at 10am (ET)— Topic: Dealing with Loss and Grief The episode features parents whose daughter died in a tragic car accident.
- Friday, May 18 at 2pm (ET)— Topic: Is Your Food Safe? This episode features a mother whose daughter contracted E. Coli.
- Saturday, May 19 at 2pm (ET)— Topic: Understanding Conversion Disorder This show discusses nationally known cases of this strange and devastating shared neurological condition, including the teens in LeRoy, New York.
