For Immediate Release WXXI FILMS THREE ACTS AT THE XEROX ROCHESTER INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL TO AIR ON PBS (Rochester, New York) June 14, 2012 –WXXI will film three Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival (XRIJF) performances at Kilbourn Hall as part of its 2012 XEROX ROCHESTER INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL series, which will premiere Summer 2013 on WXXI-TV/HD, and on PBS stations across the country. The tapings will include: Terence Blanchard Quintet on Monday, June 25 at 6 p.m., Eliane Elias Brasileira Quartet on Wednesday, June 27 at 6 p.m., and Raul Midon on Saturday, June 30 at 6 p.m. This will be WXXI’s fifth year taping the series, which has been seen by more than three million viewers across the country. In addition to being on-site for the filming, WXXI will present special XRIJF news coverage and jazz programming throughout the nine-day event. A list of programs and descriptions are below.
