(Rochester, NY) April 13, 2012 – In recognition of Earth Day, WXXI and the Seneca Park Zoo will be co-hosting an event with Buddy the Dinosaur from PBS Kids’ Dinosaur Train Saturday, April 20, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Seneca Park Zoo. With zoo admission kids can meet Buddy the Dinosaur, participate in other activities that promote learning about nature and protecting the environment, and enjoy the zoo. Activities include an endangered species scavenger hunt, hands-on Nature Tracker Challenge activities, and a screening of an episode from Dinosaur Train.
The event will also provide the opportunity to learn about the free Dinosaur Train Nature Trackers club. By joining, members promise to learn about nature and do good things for the environment. Kids who like exploring and having adventures, collecting things, tracking and observing plants and animals, and getting outside and making discoveries every day will make great Nature Trackers.
