WXXI-TV OFFERS A NEW LINE-UP FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY IN JULY
(Rochester, New York) June 26, 2013 – WXXI-TV presents a new summer line-up in primetime programming on Thursdays and Fridays in July. Need to Know Rochester, WXXI’saward-winning weekly news and public affairs programmoves from Friday nights to Thursdays at 8 p.m. beginning July 11th. Hosted by Hélène Biandudi Hofer, the program provides balanced and in-depth coverage on community issues that matter to Rochesterians. The McLaughlin Group and New York Now, also part of our Friday night schedule, will move to Sundays at 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. respectively, beginning July 7th.
A new line-up for Friday night includes the premiere of Charlie Rose: The Week on Friday, July 19 at 8:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV. Emmy Award-winning journalist Charlie Rose launches this new series that looks at some of the best stories and his interviews of the week seen on Charlie Rose, which airs weeknights at 11 p.m. on WXXI-TV. Charlie Rose: The Week will also look to the week ahead in politics, business, culture, and the arts.
In addition to the new Charlie Rose show, WXXI will dedicate the 9 o’clock hour on Friday nights to the arts with a series of programs that spotlight dance, theatre, music and visual arts. This includes:
