Friday, January 28 at 1 p.m. Backstage Pass with Ad Hoc

(Rochester, NY) Ad Hoc, an ephemeral chamber ensemble joins Julia Figueras for Backstage Pass, Friday, Janaury 28 at 1 p.m. on Classical 91.5/FM-HD 91.5-1. As the ensemble's name implies, the musicians that make up the group are rarely the same twice. Performing a repertoire that is mostly classical, the programs are developed to include both old and new music that is engaging, interesting and compelling.

For their Backstage Pass appearance, Ad Hoc, whose members, at the moment, include Rebecca Smithorn, Timmothy Baker, Michael Fuller, Norman Gonzalez, Jessica Smithorn, Ryan Reiss, and Jessica Wooldridge, will perform Britten's Sinfonietta and more, plus talk with Julia about the ensemble's philosophy.

Backstage Pass is a live, hour-long radio series that is committed to highlighting performing artists – giving Classical 91.5/90.3/FM-HD 91.5-1 listeners the opportunity to hear local and visiting musicians performing live. The series is made possible in part by a grant from the Gouvernet Arts Fund at Rochester Area Community Foundation.
