(Rochester, NY) – Gratitude, Gravy & Garrison, airing Saturday, November 26 at 5 p.m. on Classical 91.5/FM-HD 91.5-1, features a cornucopia of choral delights sung by the 125-voice VocalEssence Chorus & Ensemble Singers. Listeners will enjoy familiar songs and hymns with comical new lyrics by Keillor, written expressly for the occasion. The program includes presentations of Los Angeles-based composer Matthew Brown's Sole Watchman of the Flying Stars, based on a poem by John Berryman, and Table Grace, with lyrics by Garrison Keillor. Jazz vocalist Jearlyn Steele and pianist Rich Dworsky, leader of A Prairie Home Companion’s house band, add their talents to the musical mélange. And of course no evening with Garrison Keillor would be complete without one of his signature monologues.
