Thursday, February 11 at 8 p.m. – In Peformance at the White House: A Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement
(Rochester, NY) – In honor of Black History Month, President and Mrs. Obama host a concert from the White House East Room. In Performance at the White House: A Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement, taped live from the Capitol, airs Thursday, February 11 at 8 p.m. on WXXI-TV (DT21.1/ cable 1011 and 11). The music special features performances by Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Seal, Smokey Robinson and the Blind Boys of Alabama.
In Performance at the White House is part of WXXI's special programming in honor of Black History Month. Throughout February WXXI-TV and Radio will present a variety of programs featuring the men and women who shaped the African-American experience.
