Saturday, April 25 at 8 p.m. – WXXI Auction Kick Off
(Rochester, NY)– WXXI's Auction kicks off Saturday, April 25 at 8 p.m. on WXXI-TV 21 (cable 11) and WXXI-HD (cable 1011 and DT21.1) with a special one-hour television program showcasing all the great merchandise this year’s auction has to offer. Be the first to bid on the 2009 Ford Fusion SE from Shepard Ford, the original works of art commissioned by Roycroft Renaissance Artist Laura Wilder and watercolor Artist Jim Christy, Ramon Santiago Paintings, Pittsford Hearing and Balance Digital Hearing Aids, Canandaigua Yacht Club Associate Membership,Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort Package, Cayuga Wine Trail Package, and much more! So, tune in Saturday night, and then log on to wxxi.org/auction through Saturday, May 9 to place your bids!
How to register for a bidder’s account:
1. Log on to wxxi.org
2. Click on the “Auction” button
3. Under the heading “I’m a new user,” click “Sign me up” and fill out the registration form.
4. Don’t forget to write down your user name and password, you need these to place your bid.
How to make a bid:
1. Go to the Auction home page (wxxi.org/auction) and browse through the many categories. Once you decide what to bid on, just enter your bid and password.
2. When you make your bid, click on “Bid this exact amount” and the bid will go through.
3. If you click on “Bid up to the amount on my behalf” you can use the Reserve Bidding function, which allows you to set a “do not exceed” amount for your bid.
Overbid Certificates: When you overbid on an item valued at $20 or more, you’ll receive a $5 gift certificate for the Little Bakery and a gift certificate from Cabot Creamery.

WXXI’s Auction partner, Shepard Ford in Canandaigua, has graciously donated a new 2009 Ford Focus. The 4-door sedan features a light ice blue metallic exterior and is equipped with automatic transmission, ABS, and a 2.0 liter DOHC engine. Valued at $18,650!
