Saturday, February 21 at 12 midnight – Austin City Limits: Kings of Leon/Roky Erickson
(Rochester, NY)– On the next Austin City Limits, Nashville band of brothers Kings of Leon rocks the ACL studio in support of its latest record, Because of the Times. Psychedelic innovator Roky Erickson demonstrates why he’s a Texas rock ‘n’ roll legend, with songs from the length and breadth of his 40-year career. Austin City Limits: Kings of Leon/Roky Erickson airs Saturday, February 21 at 12 midnight on WXXI-TV 21 (cable 11) and WXXI-HD (cable 1011 and DT 21.1).
Austin City Limits (ACL) has done what no other television series has done in the history of American television. Inspired by the music scene that continues to thrive in Austin, Texas, the show has, for 33 years, presented viewing audiences with live concerts from many of the world's most acclaimed, accomplished, and pioneering talent. And while other televised concert shows have come and gone, ACL has consistently provided musical artists the platform of a nationally televised performance in an intimate concert setting with a straightforward production style. This format is what enables ACL to attract such a stellar lineup of performers year after year.
