Thursday, March 19 at 5:30 p.m. Jr. Lab Ratz: What's the Matter?

(Rochester, NY) Hold onto your test tubes… for the all-new Jr. Lab Ratz – where learning gets hip and students learn just how far the reaches of science can go! The series aims to motivate teens to approach science with confidence, enthusiasm and a positive attitude, and to encourage enrollment in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) courses to enhance student achievement. Jr. Lab Ratz airs Thursday, March 19 at 5:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV 21 (cable 11) and WXXI-HD (cable 1011 and DT 21.1).

In this pilot episode titled What’s the Matter?, Galileo High School comes alive with action as Isaac Adams, Graham Cracker I-81 in hand, and with the nudging of teacher Mr. Marty Kraft, sets out to recruit members for Galileo’s Science Alliance Club.

Isaac signs on some inquisitive teenagers: Calvin, Jane Marie, Algae, and Charlie Dee, who can’t wait to join Science Alliance, since being assured by Isaac that they will get to do some cool science experiments, as they venture into the sometime explosive world of science. Algae brings calamity into the club as the school bully stalks him, which leads to some precarious moments.

Join the Jr. Lab Ratz as they have a blast asking questions, making observations, and conducting experiments out of the classroom realm.
