(Rochester, NY) – Celtic Woman: The Greatest Journey, airing Saturday, September 19 at 9:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV (DT21.1/cable1011/cable11), is the essential collection of Celtic Woman’s most beloved and memorable songs. During the broadcast viewers will have the chance to support WXXI and receive two tickets to see the Celtic Woman at the Auditorium Theater on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. WXXI is pleased to be able to offer its members the best seats in the house, and a special "meet and greet" before the concert.
Celtic Woman:The Greatest Journey is a collection of memorable highlights taken from their acclaimed PBS specials: Celtic Woman, Celtic Woman – A New Journey, and Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration. Performances include “Danny Boy,” “Somewhere,” “Orinoco Flow,” “At the Ceili” and many more.
All of the songs are intertwined, using stunning scenic and landscape images of Ireland. This special showcases vocalists Lisa, Chloë, Órla, Méav, Hayley, Alex, Lynn and fiddler Máiréad.
