Information on when to file WIA budgets for 2007-08 has been posted on the SED website at: http://www.emsc.nysed.gov/aewd
Agencies funded under the Workforce Investment Act Title II and the Welfare Education Program should submit FS-20's for the 2007-2008 fiscal year by June 20, 2007. A program description should also be submitted if significant changes are being made to the program plan. National Commission on Adult Literacy Announced: October 9, 2006 - Dollar General Corporation and the Council for Advancement of Adult Literacy (CAAL) today announced the launch of an independent-blue-ribbon National Commission on Adult Literacy. The Dollar General Literacy Foundation is the lead supporter of the initiative with a donation of $1 million. Dollar General Chairman and CEO David Perdue is chairing the Commission. CAAL is the grantee organization and will manage the study."
