Resources Information Center (ERIC)
The Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC)
is a national information system designed to provide users with
ready access to an extensive body of education-related literature.
ERIC, established in 1966, is supported by the U.S. Department of
Education, Institute of Education Sciences, and the National Library
of Education. You can access the literature through the ERIC database,
the world's largest source of education information. The database
contains more than 1 million abstracts of education-related documents
and journal articles. You can access the ERIC database on the Internet
or through commercial vendors and public networks. ERIC updates
the database monthly (quarterly on CD-ROM), ensuring that the information
you receive is timely and accurate.

(GEM)!
The Gateway to Educational MaterialsSM is a Consortium
effort to provide educators with quick and easy access to thousands
of educational resources found on various federal, state, university,
non-profit, and commercial Internet sites.
Federal
Resources for Educational Excellence (FREE)
More than 30 Federal agencies formed a working
group in 1997 to make hundreds of Federally supported teaching and
learning resources easier to find. The result of that work is the
FREE web site.

The National Center for
Education Statistics (NCES) is the primary federal entity for collecting
and analyzing data that are related to education in the U.S. and
other nations. NCES is located within the U.S. Department of Education
and the Institute of Education Sciences.
