Meet the Staff - Julie Philipp

Julie Philipp is a seasoned journalist who has worked here at WXXI previously with the AM 1370 news staff. Philipp has been a free-lance writer for the Canandaigua Daily Messenger and the Messenger Post newspapers. Philipp also has a background in television, having worked on the air in Watertown.

Philipp brings a direction and a wit to the telling of stories. You only need to look at the recent programs on Gambling and the Fast Ferry, on Rochester coping with a tougher FCC, on the controversial Family Court ruling to see Julie’s professionalism and insight.

Philipp is a dedicated mom and someone who enjoys being outdoors - kayaking on the canal and horseback riding.
