The WXXI Auction is an excellent opportunity for significant on-air
and on-line exposure in return for your donated items.

The WXXI Online Auction:

• is live, on-air for the first night and on-line for the rest of the two weeks; it is meant to be a fundraiser and promote merchandise to our viewers in this community
• offers companies a rare opportunity to showcase their business/products on television
• can be used to introduce new products or distribute surplus inventory
• is an excellent branding opportunity (WXXI has been a trusted brand for 35 years)
• is heavily publicized through on-air breaks and print promotion prior and during the event
  

Here is a promotion example:

Keep in mind that your donation will be featured to an audience with a deliberate intent to purchase. Your logo with a link to your company’s Web site will be shown for the entire length of the auction. Your donation will be displayed with a digital image and detailed description on the Auction Web site. You will have an opportunity to be featured on televised kick-off. A sign will be made for you to hang in your establishment to let your customers know that you are a preferred WXXI Auction donor. This same amount of coverage would normally cost you in excess of $1,000. There are additional value-added benefits for donations or services ranging in value from $250 - $1,000+!

By donating to the WXXI Auction - the only costs to your company are the donated products or vacation packages, shipping, and any visuals necessary to showcase your donation. The process is easy and inexpensive!

Now here’s what to do:

• Complete the online donor auction form and include a complete description of the item(s) you wish to donate. Note the quantity and the retail value. Please state limitations or restrictions, if applicable.
  
  
• Select a specific category that you would like your donation listed under.
  
  
• Return the donor agreement form as soon as possible, to ensure all opportunities of promotion. Be sure to include any visuals, samples, on-air copy, and gift certificates (WXXI can also issue a certificate for you), if applicable.
  
  
• For product donations, you have the opportunity to keep the merchandise in your store thereby creating more awareness that you are an auction donor, or you may have your item dropped off at the WXXI studios – 280 State Street, Rochester, NY 14603 (directly across the street from Frontier Field).
